On April 20, 2010, BP’s Deepwater Horizon oilrig exploded, and began the release of at least 4.9 million barrels of oil. BP then used at least 1.9 million gallons of toxic Corexit dispersants to sink the oil. April 20, 2012 will mark two years since the BP oil spill began. Here’s an interview with Keilen Williams, a local fisherman and entrepreneur from Louisiana. His life and many others lives were forever changed by this tragic event. Let us never forget the social and environmental destruction that is still occurring in the Gulf of Mexico from BP’s Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
